If you’re thinking of the English pronunciation of “now”, it’s the same as “now” in the Dutch language.
Its the same as now in the German language, and the same as now in the French language.

I think that’s because the French have a tendency to pronounce vowels differently than the way we do. English speakers also have a tendency to pronounce words this way. Although many French speakers pronounce words the same way as the English, they have a tendency to pronounce vowels differently.
I think that’s okay. English speakers can also pronounce vowels this way, especially if they’re studying Shakespeare or learning a language. But I think that the American way of pronouncing words like vase is a good thing. The French way sounds too much like “ease” and not enough like “vase”.
If we can all learn to pronounce words the same way, then that would be the perfect thing for us to do.
I would love to learn how to pronounce words the same way everyone else does, but I don’t think it would be a good thing to do. I think we all need to be encouraged to learn new names for words and use them more often. I know I’m going to hear about this one.
